MURSHIDABAD FACTS
Murshidabad was the capital of Bengal before British rule. The ruler Siraj-ud-Duala was defeated by the British in the battle of Plassey in 1757. The area is known for its carving, embroidery, and silk weaving. Famous places to visit include: Nizamat Kila, Hazaarduari Palace, and Khushbagh Cemetary.
